Donation will help fund Foundation for Children’s Books

We are pleased to announce that the board, members and friends of Yankee IABC have made a donation of $710 to support the work of the Foundation for Children’s Books (FCB).

For 25 years, the Foundation for Children’s Books has pursued the following mission: “Good books, properly shared in school and family settings, help children develop a love of reading and learning. Good books also offer an invaluable introduction to language, literacy, values, critical thinking, and cultural diversity.”

Since 2005, FCB has increased its commitment to serving children in under-served Boston public schools directly through author and illustrator visits and residencies, which are funded through private donations.
