Demonstrating the Business Value of Communication: an IABC Teleseminar

Location: National Grid 25 Research Drive Westborough, MA
RSVP: Register online

Never before have communicators been more challenged to demonstrate the value of communication. But even ROI calculations, often considered the “Holy Grail” of communication measurement, often fail to deliver numbers that are attention-getting or credible. This teleseminar will present new methods for pitching and assessing communications as a long-term strategic business asset, rather than as just a series of one-off projects. Re-frame your job from being a message producer to being the engineer of your company’s communication and performance infrastructure.

Specifically, you will learn:

  • Why traditional methods of evaluating communication aren’t done and are generally not appropriate or convincing
  • How communication and learning systems fit into new business metrics such as the Balanced Scorecard and Strategy Maps
  • How to use the Gayeski Analytics “HICCUP” model and value chain templates to create convincing presentations
  • How to speak the language of executives and financial analysts, positioning communication as a critical intangible asset that effects corporate valuation

The teleseminar will begin promptly at 7:00pm. Following the teleseminar, Mary Hettinger, from 8:00-8:30pm, Yankee Chapter Board member and principal of Beyond Words, will facilitate an informal discussion.

FEE:
IABC Member $15
Non-Member $30
