Master’s Programs in Communication

Several New England colleges and universities offer Master’s programs in organizational and corporate communication. If you are interested in more information, please visit the program’s website.

Emerson College’s Master of Arts in Organizational and Corporate Communication is a professional degree program that educates specialists capable of leading the internal communication efforts of businesses, governmental entities, and nonprofits.

Northeastern University’s Master of Science in Corporate and Organizational Communication is designed for working professionals who wish to gain an advanced credential in an area that will (a) be directly applicable to management and leadership positions and (b) increase their ability to advance within the organization. Courses are taught at Northeastern’s Boston campus.

Regis College in Weston offers a Master of Science in Organizational and Professional Communication which provides intensive and comprehensive training on the advanced level for students who have earned a bachelor’s degree. Concentrations include public relations, corporate communication, as well as training and development.

Simmons College’s Master of Arts in Communications Management (MCM) program focuses on how to strategize and coordinate communications functions such as public relations, direct marketing, promotions, branding, advertising, and digital communications.

Suffolk University in Boston’s Financial District offer a Master of Arts in Communication with course work that includes concentrations in Integrated Marketing Communication, Public Relations and Advertising, Organizational Communication and Development, Communication Studies, and Internet.

The University of Maine (Orono) offers a Master of Arts in Communication that focuses on seeking, critiquing, and creating knowledge about communication processes and practices.

The University of Rhode Island in Providence offers a Master of Arts in Communication Studies that prepare students interested in establishing or furthering their careers as professionals in communication or related fields such as personnel, business administration, or human services, or for continuing study in a Ph.D. program.
